Chipmunk Cafe

Chipmunk Cafe, at Garvan Woodland Gardens

Tucked inside Garvan Woodland Gardens, Chipmunk Cafe is a stop between the trails and the trees — a good meal in the middle of all that beauty. For a lot of people, it's the first taste of our cooking, long before they ever hear the family's name.

What People Come Back For

The chicken salad, and the bread pudding.

What they remember is the chicken salad — on a croissant or multigrain, it's the one people rave about, and regulars notice when it turns up at The Wave, too. Then come the Christmas lights, and the homemade bread pudding takes over — people have driven hours just to carry a batch home.

The rest of the menu is fresh salads and sandwiches, made the way Tammie has always made things: by hand, by taste, and with care instead of a formula.

More Than A Decade

Still the heart of what we do.

We've run Chipmunk for more than a decade now, and it's still the heart of what we do, day to day — right down to the young people who get their first job here, in a place that's hard not to love showing up to.

How we came to run it is a story of its own: a closed door that opened in God's time.

Keep Following The Story

From the gardens back to the family table.

Chipmunk Cafe is one chapter. The fuller story reaches back through Tammie's kitchen, the family roots, and the other businesses growing under the Classic Creations Catering Inc. name.
